Ways To Help
Donate Food or Funds
If you want to donate excess, usable food and product, we can make it easy for you to do good. We’ll handle all the logistics for you: collection, tracking, handling and all the regulations and safety issues. This means you can reduce wasted food and help eliminate hunger without having to worry about quality being compromised.
Host a fund or food drive
Hosting a Fund or Food Drive is a year-round way to make a difference in ending hunger. Whether you collect non-perishable food or hold your food drive virtually, there are so many benefits to hosting a drive! Not only will you be engaging your community members and helping to spread the word on the issue of hunger, but you’re also providing an incredible service to your neighbors in need.
The Kenai Peninsula Food Bank has a small staff and relies on volunteers from the community to come in and help with the day-to-day operations. In 2016, we were fortunate enough to have over 700 volunteers work nearly 8,500 hours. At $10.00 an hour, we would have spent $85,000.00 in wages that could have been spent on feeding the hungry! We are extremely grateful for all of the hard working volunteers who make our mission possible!!
