WE NEED YOUR HELP!  The campaign continues due to building cost overruns and unexpected costs to the warehouse expansion and improvement project.  The Kenai Peninsula Food Bank achieved the Building to Nourish capital campaign goal to match a $395,000 grant received from the Rasmuson Foundation.  The funding provides much needed building improvements to allow us to feed more hungry people.

Thank you for helping fund the project in order to meet the increasing demand for services.  In 2009, the Food Bank’s new client base has increased by 40%.  Children amount to almost one-third of the population served.  The building upgrades, including an energy efficient walk-in freezer and cooler, will expand storage and processing capabilities.  These will allow us to accept and distribute more food to Peninsula residents.  Please see FLOOR PLAN for a description of our project.

You can still help us to help many others.  Contributions of any size are appreciated.  DONATE NOW provides a pledge sheet if you want to make future donations.

Or in one easy click, you can donate now using private and secure PAY PAL.  Thank you in advance for doing your part to help us feed more as “No one deserves to be Hungry”!
